What We Collect
Universe Post collects the information needed to provide the service: your email address, optional given name, selected language, optional notes you submit, email verification status, subscription status, payment confirmation details from Stripe, and basic referral or campaign information when available. We do not store card numbers on our own servers.
We also store letters sent to you, replies you voluntarily send back, delivery records, reader activity needed to operate the service, and account management token hashes. Account links contain private tokens, but our database stores only a hashed form of those tokens.
How We Use It
We use your information to verify your email, process your subscription, personalize letter greetings when you provide a given name, deliver letters, prepare future correspondence, send receipts and renewal notices, prevent abuse, understand basic service performance, and respond to support requests.
If you reply to a Universe Post letter, we may use that reply as context for future letters sent to your mailbox. The purpose is to make the correspondence feel continuous and personal.
Service Providers
We use providers such as Stripe for payments and payment management, and email infrastructure providers for verification, receipts, delivery, and inbound replies. These providers process data for the service they provide to us.
Your Choices
You can manage your payment method or cancel renewal through the subscription management link included in Universe Post emails. Canceling renewal keeps your mailbox open until the end of the current paid period, then stops future renewals and letters unless you subscribe again.
You can also request support, ask about your data, or update your email by contacting [email protected].
